Melania Trump recently felt the wrath of liberals after suggesting to her audience that they ‘say the lords prayer’. At a rally she spoke in front of 9,000 people and said ‘let us pray’. An athiest liberal’s worst nightmare.
The liberals took to twitter. Screaming that Melania only said Christian prayers and not Islamic prayer! They yelled at her for being ‘unconstitutional’ for mixing church and state. Even though she isn’t doing that. The constitution says “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” So Melania did nothing wrong.
The wife of the real American Sniper Taya Kyle came to Melania’s defense. “The attacks are unfounded, and I think people don’t understand what was meant originally by separation of state and church. “It was meant to protect the churches from government influence,” explained Kyle.
“It was meant to protect the people from having the government force a religion down their throat or compel them to believe something their conscience was not allowing for,” said Kyle. She went on to call the prayer “beautiful.”
“I wish more people in government would speak their mind and their heart, and that’s for any religion that they have,” she said. “Any time you’re gonna be in the public eye in any way…you have to accept that you’re making yourself open and vulnerable to criticism,” Kyle said.
